There are many good organizations involved in charitable work in the developing world. Billions have been spent on aid in the past decades to tackle hunger, disease and injustice.
On the other hand governments and businesses have worked hard to improve ethical standards and facilitate fair opportunities in a globalized market. In many developing countries the standard of living has improved dramatically because of this process.
Although these separate worlds have been cooperating in many occasions on an NGO-level the need has recently been formulated to combine both philosophy’s on a governmental and multinational corporate level. This line of thinking resulted in the conception of AidTrade®.
